We are firmly focused on the genetic progress of plants and create over 300 plant varieties each year
We have chosen to draw upon our expertise by creating unique integrated cereal chains in France, from grain to bread

The history of our agricultural cooperative goes back over 50 years to land in Auvergne, central France. And yes, we are proud of this incredible regional heritage and we want to share our love of the land with you.
This is why we are always seeking to create close ties with the men and women who farm the land, who are also full of respect and passion for the core of our business, namely producing cereal and vegetable seeds.

Here at Limagrain, we are attached to our united community of farmers. Indeed, we focus on people rather than on capital. In practical terms, we have chosen to apply the principle of one person = one vote.
This means we have a unique form of governance among the world’s leading seed producers, which is dominated by large agrochemical groups.
Our governance model is based on three main distinguishing features:
The Group is managed by a Chairman, who is an elected farmer, and a CEO, who is an employee appointed by the Board of Directors
This tandem structure is repeated throughout Limagrain operations worldwide
The company’s top executives, irrespective of their country of origin, hold equity in the Cooperative, alongside the farmer members, as “non-cooperator members”. A director, chosen from the top executives, represents them on the Board
The Limagrain cooperative is our parent company and its 1,300 cooperated members form the shareholder base of our Group.
