Improver wheat varieties “made in Limagne”

“Improver” or “hard” wheat varieties are sought after by cereal transformers for their high protein content (greater than 13%) and the quality of their gluten. Mixed with flour, improvers enhance the quality of dough required for "French-style" baked goods. Since this is a niche market with high technological and added value, Limagrain has been present in this segment for more than 15 years, creating a specific breeding program that has delivered “reserved" varieties, specially adapted for end users like Jacquet or Limagrain Céréales Ingrédients inside the group, thus creating an integrated wheat chain, with the ambition of becoming a leading player in the supply of wheat improvers in Europe.
