HSV® silage corn in Northern Europe
The constant aim for the LG brand, and certainly one of the keys to its success, is to help farm breeders to get more out of forage corn in the ration intended for dairy or meat cattle. Nevertheless, not all rations are identical. To a large extent they are determined by the standard production on each farm. And yet a herd's productivity and state of health depend mostly on the composition of its “menu”. In order to meet the needs of cattle breeders in Northern Europe, LG has developed specific hybrids. Their high starch content and their degradability – more ruminal or more intestinal – compensate for the frequent absence of cereals and the preponderance of forage in the menu. Launched under the HSV® label (High Starch Value), these hybrids are a complement to the HDi® label in the global LG Animal Nutrition approach – unique in its kind – for the optimization of rations throughout Europe. A better knowledge of forage corn hybrids provides breeders with the possibility of getting better value from their dairy or meat activities, a concept that is behind the LG brand slogan “Breeding your profit”.
