Recent technological evolution has enabled us to increase the number of markers studied and speed up analysis. This information provides greater precision and speed in breeding, both for resistance traits and quality criteria. We also work upstream on transverse projects with KeyGene and the other Business Units in the Group, with a view to improving technologies and developing new methodologies. Until now, it was the traits of a variety created that determined its market. Today, as a result of Marker Assisted Breeding, we can offer breeders a cross that targets their needs perfectly.”
