The potential for innovation from genetic resources is immense, enabling us to rise to future challenges in agriculture and food. But for this to be possible these genetic resources need to be available, conserved and described. Michel Pitrat, the Director of Genetic Research and Improvement of Fruit and Vegetables at INRA Avignon shares his thoughts and interrogations with us.
