Plural through its geographical diversity, yet singular through its identity as an international co-operative group, Limagrain is concerned to maintain the right balance between a global approach and local action. Present in all the continents of the world, the Group permanently adapts its germplasm and varieties to different soils and climates.

An approach based on the diversity of its markets and customers

Limagrain's close relationship with the soil is expressed on international markets by the constant desire to understand local cultures in order to serve them better. As far as marketing and sales are concerned, the Group's international dimension provides for greater wealth of creativity, valorizing the originality and quality of its products, and opening up new opportunities for development. In order to achieve this, the Group has set up its organization in Business Units to insure greater proximity and faster reactions on markets that are segmented and diversified.

Limagrain's international approach to research means that genetic resources available locally can be diversified. The Group contributes its know-how and genetic resources to create the required varieties.
Reciprocally, it broadens the potential access of its researchers to other genetic resources. By broadening its resources while respecting international conventions, Limagrain contributes to the conservation of genetic heritages and plays its part in enriching biodiversity. Through its international development Limagrain finds new opportunities for the valorization of its know-how, and new outlets for its varieties and a better spread of risks.
