Reinforcing its foothold on the Brazilian corn market, Limagrain has just finalized, through its holding, Vilmorin & Cie, the acquisition of Brasmilho's corn and sorghum seed activities in Brazil. Based in Goianésia, Brasmilho has high-quality genetic resources, a production and seed processing plant, as well as a sales network covering the central part of the country.
Brasmilho's assets reinforce the partnership established with Sementes Guerra last February. Thanks to this new acquisition, the Group is actively expanding its corn business in Brazil, the world's third largest market, which is characterized by strong growth.
